Valencia vs Sevilla
Spain – LaLiga
Date: Wednesday, 30 October 2019
Kick-off at 18:00 UK/ 19:00 CET
Venue: Estadio de Mestalla (Valencia).
As two major powers of the La Liga take on each other, fans will be eagerly anticipating a fierce encounter. Especially so with the El Clasico being postponed to December.
Valencia seems a tad weaker from their earlier seasons, and they will desperately hope for a comeback at home this Wednesday to get into their groove. But certainly, the in-form Sevilla will have a thing or two to say about this particular objective of the hosts.
Valencia vs Sevilla Head-to-head (h2h)
- Six of the former eight wins went to Los Ches.
- Six of the previous eleven matches had goals at either end of the pitch.
- Ten of the preceding twelve overall wins went to the ones that had hosted the tie.
- It’s been seven years since the guests have scripted a victory at this stadium.
- Five of the last seven clashes had goals by both sides.
Valencia vs Sevilla Prediction
Albert Celades’s men have just four wins to show from their prior fourteen games, and they certainly are experiencing a dip in form. Just the last day, the team lost 3-1 against a newly-promoted Osasuna, and there’s just no telling how hard a game they would have against a traditional power of the Spanish league.
At home, Valencia has three wins from their previous eleven appearances, and two of these were against Alaves, and the third was against Mallorca, another newly-promoted squad.
On the other hand, Julen Lopetegui’s men have won five of their last six overall games and registered a combined scoreline of 6-0 from their former three clashes. On the road, they won four of their preceding six games, and once again kept clean sheets in all these four fixtures.
As such, taking the current form into account, the visitors should avoid a loss at the least.
However, due to their away handicap, and the results of prior h2h encounters (which are predominantly skewed in the direction of Los Ches), particularly the ones at this stadium – the hosts of the day should find the back of the net at least once. This sufficiently rationalizes backing the BTTS option.
