Besiktas vs Wolves Prediction & Match Preview
Date: Thursday, 3 October 2019
Kick-off at 17:55 UK/ 18:55 CET
Venue: Vodafone Park (Istanbul).
Both Wolves and Besiktas were supposed to make it to the top of the table. But either failed to make any use of the first match-day. The English outfit was beaten at home by Braga, via a solitary goal. Dishearteningly, the net was rattled late in the second half to break the will and hearts of home fans,
The Turks meanwhile, were on the road and were defeated comprehensively by the Slovakians. In fact, Abdullah Avci’s men were leading 1-2 at half-time, but then conceded three goals in a row to let the advantage go. And to put the final nail in the coffin, the last two goals had come in the space of just sixty seconds during injury time.
As such, both are placed at the bottom of the table and are in desperate need for points.
Besiktas vs Wolves Head-to-head (h2h)
This is the first match-up between the two in the 21st century.
Besiktas vs Wolves Prediction
The Wanderers have completely failed to show any kind of level they managed last season. If not for their maiden win in the Premier League, against the worst of the lot, they would easily have been placed 19th in league standings. Going back, their single win in the previous six overall fixtures has been this one, and they had been struggling on the road ever since the final stages of last season.
The Black Eagles too are not a squad on form, but at least they do have the home advantage to lean on. Despite all their struggles, they last lost in front of the home crowd in 2018.
Henceforth, count on the hosts to avoid a loss this Thursday.
In regards to goals though, both are in severe need of points, and either has been leaking goals in plenty. Coupled to the huge stature of this tie, it’s highly probable that goals will be scored at either end of the pitch.
