Newcastle vs Manchester United Prediction
The Magpies are without a win in their last five games in a running, the last of which was a whopping 5-0 drubbing on the road at the hands of Leicester on the road. With just one win in their past seven games in the top flight, Newcastle are just three points away from hitting rock bottom in the table.
Things have not been going well for the hosts at home either, where they have secured just two points from a possible nine.
On the other hand, Manchester United are going through their worst possible start in decades. Despite raising the bar on the opening day with that 4-0 victory over the Blues, the squad dwindling form ever since has placed them tenth in the league with just two wins to boast of.
Their last clash at home saw Arsenal force them to share the spoils. While on the road, they succumbed to a defeat against the Hammers. However, there is hope for the Red Devils to redeem themselves this week as Steve Bruce’s men are on a struggle of their own as previously mentioned, even with home advantage intact.
Taking into account that four out of their last six visits to this venue have also seen them secure the bragging rights with ease, there is every reason to believe that Manchester United will be able to overcome the Magpies on Sunday.
Additionally, neither team have shown any enthusiasm whatsoever in racking up the goals tally. The hosts have found the back of the net just once in their last three games here, while Manchester United have added just two to their tally from their previous outings.
Considering that their last clash here also featured under 2.5 goals on the charts, count on Ole’s men to wrap things up with a goal or two at the most.
