Burnley vs Everton Prediction & Match Preview
Burnley vs Everton
England – Premier League
Date: Saturday, 5 October 2019
Kick-off at 15:00 UK / 16:00 CET
Venue: Turf Moor (Burnley).
Burnley have not tasted defeat in their past three games in the Premier League, the last of which was a 2-2 draw against Aston Villa on the road. Their previous home clash with Norwich saw them go a step further and pick up what was only their second win of the campaign by posting a comfortable 2-0 scoreline in their favor.
On the other hand, Marco Silva’s men are on an alarming three-match losing streak in the top flight. The visitors were able to secure no more than a consolation goal in their previous clash at home with the reigning champions, who slotted the ball home thrice to walk away with the spoils.
Everton certainly have not been a force to reckon with away from home this season. With Burnley on a much more convincing form at the moment, a defeat is certainly looming large for the Toffees this week.
Burnley vs Everton Head to head (h2h)
Both teams have two wins apiece from their last four clashes.
Only two of their previous five matchups have been low scoring ones with under 2.5 goals on the charts.
Their last encounter saw Everton win by a 2-0 scoreline.
Four out of their past five fixtures here have witnessed goals down each end.
Burnley vs Everton Prediction
The hosts have won with a clean sheet intact in two of their last three games here, while the only defeat they succumbed to was against the current table-toppers Liverpool.
Their counterparts are yet to get into their groove and have garnered no more than a point from a possible nine on the road. In addition, three out of their last five visits to this venue have seen them at the losing end as well.
Hence, the favorites to come out on top are Burnley in this one. However, the home have salvaged just a point in two of their last three recent clashes in the league. Taking into account that Everton also have forced one of their opponents on the road to share the spoils with them, the safest punt is undoubtedly a double chance backing Burnley.
Furthermore, the home team have scored two goals or more in two of their previous three clashes here. Considering that all of their last four head to head meetings at Turf Moor have also been high scoring ones, count on both the teams to rack up the goals tally without fail.
